Day 10:
Alleppey
-
Mararikulam
Morning disembark from the house boats at Alleppey and
drive to Mararikulam, with its endless miles of superb
beaches. Day at leisure to enjoy the beach. Overnight at
Hotel.
Day 11:
Mararikulam
Full day excursion to Cochin and back. Sightseeing of Cochin
city visiting Jewish Synagogue, bui lt in 1568 AD and
decorated with copper plates bearing the Hebrew script and
hand painted chinese tiles. Also visit the Mattan-Cherry
Palace also called the Dutch Palace built by the Portugese and presented to
the King of Cochin in 1555 AD. The Chinese fishing nets at the entrance of
the harbour, along the backwaters are a fascinating sight. These nets that line
the sea front exhibit a mechanical method of catching traders to the coast of
Malabar.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12:
Mararikulam

Kovalam
Morning drive to Kovalam, with an internationally renowned
Kovalam beach."Kovalam" means a grove of coconut trees
and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of
coconut trees. The crescent-shaped beach has three parts.
The southern most beach, and the most popular, is light house beach. It
offers an amazing sight of Vizhinjam mosque. The northern Samudra is a
laidback one and time seems stands still here. The middle, hawah, in the
early day, is a beehive of activities with fishermen setting out for sea. With a
high rock promontory and a calm bay of blue waters, this beach paradise
creates a unique aquarelle on moonlit nights. It is warm and clean filled with
the coconut trees and the white sandbed as the seabreeze gently plays with
the waves. Swimming and bathing are very refreshing and exhilirating in the
waves. One can walk into the sea for about 100 metres without loosing
ground. This cove is also the safest place for swimming. At many coastal
