Day 6:
Manali
Morning leave for Manali enroute visit Naggar, half way
between Kullu and Manali, 1000 feet above the river and at
the widest point of the valley, is a large village called Naggar.
Built on a hill, surrounded by pine forests and
apple orchards, Naggar is quiet and peaceful, mostly made up of old wooden
houses with traditional stone roofs. Here a gallery houses the paintings of the
Russian artist Nicholas Reorich. Manali, Surrounded by towering peaks. It''s
major asset is its proximity to the snowline. It is a flourishing orchard industry,
a popular honeymoon destination and trailhead for numerous treks as well as
a great countryside ideal for adventure sport lovers.Arrive and stay at
hotel.Afternoon visit the 500 years Old Hadimba Temple and you have the
evening free for wandering around the malls of Manali. Overnight stay at
hotel.
Day 7:
Manali
After breakfast drive to Rohtang pass. Enroute visit Vashist
hot water springs and Kothi.At an elevation of 4,111 meters
(13,400 ft.) on the highway to Keylong, is Rohtang Pass.
Here one sees the majesty of the mountains at its
height and splendour. At the top of the Pass the air seems to glitter against
the snow as you look down over herringboned ridges into the Lahaul Valley.
There is a beautiful Doshohar Lake left to the pass, where pilgrims go every
year on the auspicious day of 20th Bhadon. This is the only access to Lahaul
valley. The pass is open from June to September each year although trekkers
may cross the pass a little earlier. Rohtang pass is the gateway to Lahaul
valley just as Zojila pass in between Kashmir valley and Ladakh.Overnight
stay at Hotel.
