Day 1:
Kochi
Ar r ive Cochin Internat ional Ai rpor t and t ransfer to
Hotel.Afternoon sightseeing of Cochin city visiting Jewish
Synagogue, built in 1568 AD and decorated with copper
plates bearing the Hebrew script and hand painted chinese
tiles.
Visit the Mattan-Cherry Palace also called the Dutch Palace built by the
Portugese and presented to the King of Cochin in 1555 AD. The Chinese
fishing nets at the entrance of the harbour, along the backwaters are a
fascinating sight. These nets that line the sea front exhibit a mechanical
method of catching fish,introduced by chinese traders to the coast of
Malabar.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2:
Kochi

Agatti
Morning transfer to airport to leave by air for Agatti Island.
Upon arrival transfer to Bangaram by boat.Arrive and stay at
Hotel Bangaram Island Resort.Bangaram Island is an
uninhabited heaven. Barring the occasional visitor from
nearby Agatti (where the airport is situated), the only residents are the resort
staff.The resort is set in 128 acres, there are 30 tiled roof beach huts, each
with its own palm thatched verandah. All rooms are comfortably furnished
with cane furniture, twin beds, ceiling fans, stocked fridge and private shower
(cold water only). The dining hut serves buffet meals and is normally a
mixture of local and continental cuisine with fresh fish and tropical fruits. Next
door is the beach bar open for most of the day, serving a reasonably wide
range of spirits, wine and beer.
