Day 10:

The day is set for another long journey through the sublime
landscapes of Tibet. The distance between New Tingri and
Shigatse is around 244 km and it takes around 8 hrs to cover
the distance. On arrival, check in at hotel. You will
still have half the day with you that you can spend which ever way you want.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11:
-
The distance between Shigatse and Gyantse is not much.
The 90 km stretch can easily be covered in 2 hrs. So before
leaving Shigatse, we visit the enchanting Tashilhunpo
Monastery and the free market. We continue our drive to
Gyantse. In the evening, visit the Palkhor Monastery and Kumbum stupa.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 12:
-
After a sumptuous Tibetan breakfast, drive towards the
capital city of Lhasa. The 8 hrs ride takes you through KARO
Pass (5010 m), KAMBA Pass (4794 m) and Yamdruk Lake.
The distance is around 259 km. Upon arrival, directly check in
at hotel. Remove all the exhaustions of the long drive by resting for the night
in the calm atmosphere of the hotel.
Day 13:
Lhasa is a city full of surprises and fantasies. The day is for
exploring the attractions of the city, there will bea a full day
sightseeing city tour. Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple,
and Barkhor Street. Back to hotel for
overnight stay.
