Day 3:
Srinagar
Morning sightseeing of Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh
built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. And
Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor
Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of
Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. The distance from
Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 kms respectively. Enroute
visit carpet-weaving factory.
Day 4:
Srinagar
After breakfast visit the Dachigam.The scenic Dachigam
val ley is one bl issful place of natural wor ld and i ts
surrounding mountainside contains the rare Kashmir stag
(Hangul), also black and brown bears. If you go trekking over
to
the upper reaches, the spectacular vistas make perfect camping hideout.
There you may also see the musk deer, a small species widely hunted for the
male's musk gland, consider valuable in treating importance and a major
export to Europe'\s perfumeries. Located very close to Srinagar, Dachigam
National Park with its splendid forests and magnificent scenery is easily
accessible. Dachigam is the best known among the whole state of J & K.
Once the exclusive hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Kashmir, it was
declared a nat ional park in 1951, and owing to a strict ly enforced
conservation programme, the hangul population, once 150, now stands at
over 400 animals. Overnight stay in house Boat.
Day 5:
Srinagar

Pahalgam
Enjoy your delicious breakfast at your House Boat. Now it'\s
time to say good-bye to your beautiful House Boat as we will
leave for beaut i ful Pahalgam, Val ley of Shepherds .
Pahalgam is only 95 km from Srinagar and it will take
maximum 2 1/2 hours. Enroute we will also visit the famous Hindu Temple -
Martand also known as Mattan. At Pahalgam we have very carefully selected
