Morning leave by road for Jaisalmer located in the heart of
t he Tha r Dese r t ; o f f e r i ng a ma r ve l o f i n t r i ca t e
architecture.Founded in 1156 A. D., the rulers of Jaisalmer
were feared Bandit chiefs who lived off the forced levies on
the great caravans that crossed their area en route to Delhi. Arrive and stay
at Hotel.
Day 6:
Jaisalmer
Morning half day city tour visiting the Fort. A splendid sight
with its yellow sand stone walls and bastions that seem to
rise from the golden sands and Havelis famous for Filigree
work and carved brackets. Also visit the Patwon-
ki- Haveli and the Paraswanath Temple, the oldest and most beautiful of the
Jain temples. The walls of the sanctum are carved with animal and human
figures.Afternoon experience the exhilaration of a camel ride at the village
Khuri to get a feel of desert life. Khuri is 40 kms. from Jaisalmer, the village is
known for sand dunes that are about 80 metres high. One can experience the
desert solitude and visit the beautifully decorated houses of mud and straw in
this village. Return to Jaisalmer.Evening stroll Jaisalmer''s exotic bazaars
offering fine mirror work and embroidered articles, wooden boxes, trinkets,
silver jewellery and curios.

Morning leave by road for Jodhpur; a city founded in 1459 by
Rao Jodha and is today one of the leading centres for wood,
cattle, camels and salt.Jodhpur is surrounded by a high stone
wall with seven gates and countless bastions.
The second largest city of Rajasthan is famous for the impregnable
