Agra
Morning drive to Agra. Afternoon visit the Taj Mahal built by
the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1630 AD for his queen
Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Its a poem
written in white marble, the most extravagant monument
ever built for love, Agra Fort - a visit to the fort in -Agra- is must since so
many of the events which lead to the construction of the Taj took place here
and the tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daula built by Empress Noor Jehan in memory of
her father. The tomb is of particular interest since many of its design
elephants overshadow the Taj. Overnight in Agra.
Day 8:
Agra

Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in
1569. The graceful buildings within this city are Salim Chisti'\s
Tomb, Jama Masjid and Panch Mahal. Arrive Jaipur. Check
into the hotel. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 9:
Jaipur
In the morning take an excursion to Amer fort with joy ride on
an Elephant. Visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of Victory and
Temple of Kali. Return to the city passing by Jal Mahal. In the
afternoon take a city tour covering City
Palace - occupies a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens &
buildings and a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture, Royal
Observatory - An observatory with some rare qualities to its credit, Nawab
Sahab Ki Haveli, Ram Niwas Gardens, drive past Hawa Mahal (the Palace of
Winds) - and the Bazaar etc. Overnight hotel in Jaipur.
